Pakistan is renowned for natural beauty — from its Arabian Sea coast in the south to the Himalaya Mountains in the north, but the nation also holds a dark side. Pakistan is one of the top ten countries in which persecution of, or discrimination against Christians is most severe.
In this population which is 95% Muslim, Christians are a beleaguered minority; evangelicals make up less than 1% of the Pakistan’s citizens. Yet God’s Spirit knows no barriers, and many people are coming to saving faith in Christ through the ministry of nearly 30 national pastors and evangelists who often maintain ministries in multiple cities and rural villages. FMI also provides tangible support, such as bicycles for pastors’ transportation, materials for church site construction, and helps maintain a network of safe houses for persecuted believers.
