A common love of books allowed Arman to introduce Mehran to the Author of Life.
Mehran, 28, is part of a highly devout Muslim family with a successful business background in Pakistan. He is curious by nature, and always eager to gain a deeper understanding of religion, Allah and the Qur’an. His quest took him on a journey of digging into many books related to Islamic teachings and practices.
One day, Mehran called a cab after his car broke down. The cab driver was FMI’s partner, Pastor Arman, who himself had come out of a Muslim background several years ago. Arman drives a cab in his free time to make a little extra money and uses this opportunity to share the gospel with others. Their common interest of reading developed a quick bond of friendship between them.
After reaching Mehran’s destination, Arman shared a copy of the Injil (New Testament) with him. As Arman devoured its pages, he began to grasp the gospel and the unconditional love of God and his heart was open to go in a new direction. To know more about salvation and forgiveness of sins that Christ brings, Mehran contacted Arman several more times for further conversation and study.
Last year, they studied Luke 19:10 together. Mehran understood that Jesus delights to seek those who are lost. Mehran had tried to find inner peace by memorizing the whole Qur’an but still he felt empty. Finally, he found fullness of joy after accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. A page had been turned and a new chapter of his life began.
Mehran continues to live as a faithful follower of Christ. He is always well-stocked with copies of Injils to share with others that Arman has provided to him. Please pray for more courageous evangelistic vessels like Arman to reflect the light and hope of Jesus Christ in the harvest fields of spiritually dark Muslim lands.
