Pastor Felix shepherds 2 ministry sites which grew in attendance by 12% in the first half of 2025, and he led 32 people to place their faith in Christ so far this year. But there are other numbers in his field reports which more clearly reveal the depth of his impact across Kenyan communities.

To continually assess ministry progress of our overseas partners, FMI collects data monthly through our various national leadership teams. Some statistics measure church attendance, salvation reports, and baptisms for example. These things broadly measure items covered by the first half of Jesus’ Great Commission. But we also aim to understand how well our partners do at fulfilling the second half of the mandate – training those who have come to faith in Christ to also engage in disciple-making ministry. In Pastor Felix’s case, he has trained 106 people so far this year and, as the fruit of their testimonies, a further 158 people have been adopted into God’s family! Felix certainly understands the power of multiplication in the disciple-making process.
Felix’s reports regularly inform us about the training he provides for Sunday School teachers in the churches and Good News Club workers out in the communities, for example. Throughout the summer, he trained 10 men on parenting and family life skills which shored up the foundations of 15 families with biblical principles due to multi-generational extended families. Felix’s vision is not focused only on training adults. He recently explained, “Over the past week, I had the opportunity to train [junior high students] on life skills and behavior-change interventions. I am grateful to report that a positive transformation is already visible among the teens in our community.”
